Guests actually wear these
We had heavy terry robes for years and they hung on the hook untouched. Switched to waffle and they get used every single stay.

Heavy terry robes look generous on a hook and are too hot to wear. Waffle is the compromise that gets used: light, quick to dry, and it packs down to a third of the space in your linen closet.
Two sizes rather than four, because a property cannot stock four and a robe is forgiving.

Wash warm with like colours. A commercial wash at 60°C is fine and will not shorten the life of the fibre. Tumble dry low and remove while very slightly damp — that is the single habit that keeps cotton feeling new.
Skip fabric softener. It coats the fibre, and a coated fibre stops absorbing, which is exactly the opposite of what you paid for.
