Wash warm with like colours. A commercial wash at 60°C is fine and will not shorten the life of the fibre. Tumble dry low and remove while very slightly damp — that is the single habit that keeps cotton feeling new.
Skip fabric softener. It coats the fibre, and a coated fibre stops absorbing, which is exactly the opposite of what you paid for.
